Brighten your home by cleaning your windows and washing your walls. Mr.Clean Magic Erasers work wonders for this kind of job.

Your furnace is somewhat like a car and needs regular maintenance. If it has been a long time since you have looked at your furnace I would check the filters and either change them or get them cleaned. Then I would contemplate getting your ducks cleaned, this will help with air flow and save money, because more air can flow through the ducks.

Clean ducks are also good for your health, it helps with allergies, and common colds floating around in the air.

If your furnace is 10 years or older and you have been neglecting the maintenance, a furnace maintenance company will come in and do a full inspection for 100-150 dollars. They also have service programs that would be great on an older furnace.

Typically a furnace will last about 15-20 years. But like a car if you maintain it, it will look better and run smoother and during a home inspection thats what the inspectors look for.

Signs of wear: rust, dust, debris, corrosion, odours, lack of air flow.

Spring Cleaning

This is a great time to start your indoor and outdoor spring cleaning. Yard waste is collected weekly on your scheduled waste collection day during the months of April, May, June, October and November. During the months of July, August and September, yard waste is collected every other week, beginning July 5 and ending Sept. 30, 2010.

Also cleaning out the garage and common storage areas in the house such as: under the stairs, closets, pantries, basements and spare bedrooms can be very stress relieving and enjoyable for the rest of the year.
